We begin with the Caribbean region, the source of Colombian flavor, characterized by its warm climate and its spectacular beaches; mostly composed of flat land, but also home to the highest mountainous formation in the world: the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. In its coasts they are mangroves of forest, rivers, pipes and marsh. This area is of great importance for the refuge of migratory birds coming from North America. It's only gastronomy is based on tropical fruits, fish, banana and “suero costeno”. Nevertheless, the most important thing in this Caribbean region is the music like the porro, the vallenato, the mapalé, the cumbia and the bullerengue, that makes homage to the Afro-Colombian culture; and with music and very cheerful dances the good energy expands all over the country.
